Hi, I'm Bridie, a psychologist who believes therapy should feel human.
Becoming a psychologist wasn't part of my original plan, but once I began working with clients, I realised I'd found work that genuinely felt meaningful. I've always found it easier to connect with people in one-on-one conversations, and I feel privileged to be trusted with people's stories during some of the most challenging times in their lives.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me exploring somewhere new. My husband, our son and I travel around Australia in our little bus, so telehealth has been the perfect way to combine the work I love with a lifestyle that values adventure, flexibility and family.
Wherever you are, and wherever I am,
we can still do good work together.
LIFE ON THE ROAD
A little bus, a big country, and a way of working that travels with us. Wherever the road goes, the door stays open for the people I work with.
How I work
My approach is warm, down-to-earth and collaborative. You don't need to arrive with the "right words" or a tidy explanation of what's wrong. Most people come in feeling a bit tangled, and part of the work is untangling it together. I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches (including CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS and EMDR) and tailor how we work to you: your goals, your pace, and what actually fits your life.
