Types of Therapy Offered
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It's most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems is a powerfully transformative, evidence-based model of psychotherapy. We believe the mind is naturally multiple, which is a good thing. Our inner parts contain valuable qualities, and our core Self knows how to heal, allowing us to become integrated and whole. In IFS all parts are welcome.
Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing is a form of psychotherapy devised by Francine Shapiro in the 1980s. EMDR is a structured trauma therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Dialectical behaviour therapy is an evidence-based psychotherapy that began with efforts to treat personality disorders and interpersonal conflicts. Evidence suggests that DBT can be useful in treating mood disorders and suicidal ideation, as well as for changing behavioural patterns such as self-harm and substance use.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) gets its name from one of its core messages: accept what is out of your control and commit to action that improves and enriches your life. ACT aims to maximise human potential for a rich, full and meaningful life.
Clinical Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a type of treatment that involved relaxation, imagination, and communication with our higher mind, also known as the subconscious, whilst in a hypnotic state. Hypnotherapy has been found effective in smoking, reducing stress and anxiety, and improving health habits, to name a few.
I will not rescue you. For you are not powerless. I will not fix you. For you are not broken. I will not heal you. For I see you, in your wholeness. I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light.
